A good test fixture is important in order to load the test specimen as realistically as possible during the vibration test. It must ensure that the load from the test profile is applied to the test specimen as well as possible. Overloading or insufficient loading of the test specimen caused by the test fixture must be avoided. A test fixture must perform reliably over the entire duration of the test. A challenging and interesting task for every designer!
We use CAD to design the appropriate test fixture for you, tailored to your product and the required vibration profile. Using FEM-supported modal analysis, we then check and optimize their vibration behavior.
We are also happy to manufacture the test fixture. The spectrum of fixtures we have already implemented ranges from holding the smallest electrical switching contacts to massive assemblies in railroad technology.
On request, we can also use standard fixtures for your test setup. These are available from us in a wide variety of shapes and sizes.
We use the 3D CAD software SOLIDWOKRS for the efficient design of test fixtures. The numerous interfaces for importing CAD models allow us to design test fixtures for the test specimens to be tested even before they are physically available to us. The geometric data of the designed parts of the fixture can be passed on directly to our machinists, ensuring fast and smooth production.
Using the numerical method of modal analysis, we can calculate the vibration behavior of a test fixture before it is manufactured. The CAD model can be used to investigate the frequency range in which natural vibrations occur. In this way, critical resonance points can be moved out of the frequency range to be tested by making design adjustments to the test setup.
The results of the modal analysis and the natural modes derived from them can be graphically displayed and animated.
