Climate testing in the VIBTEC environmental testing lab

Hot and dry deserts, hot and humid rainforests, icy cold polar regions – technical products must be able to withstand a wide range of climatic influences if they are to be used worldwide. Corrosion due to thawing, bursting due to ice pressure, swelling due to water absorption are examples of potential damage to materials and components caused by climatic influences.

In addition to the climatic influences of the environment, local micro-climates, for example inside a vehicle door or a transport container, often place very special demands on the development of climate-resistant products.

Climate tests for your products in our environmental testing lab

We carry out climate tests in our accredited test laboratory in accordance with current standards and customer specific standards. The test specimens are exposed to defined and controlled conditions in standardized climate chambers and their influence on material, function or durability is examined. In this way, weak points in the design or manufacture can be detected in good time and subsequent problems during transportation, storage or use can be avoided. Our range of services includes:

Time-accelerated tests for faster results

In our climate chambers, the loads that occur in practice are often simulated time-accelerated with an increased test profile. For example, years of practical operation can be simulated in the climate chamber in just a few weeks.

Meaningful tests through functional operation and monitoring

We can operate your test specimens in our climate chambers electrically, pneumatically or hydraulically, time- and parameter-controlled. We also monitor and document all relevant functional and test parameters during the test.

Tailor-made solutions for your individual requirements

Our experienced test engineers support you in the selection of suitable climate tests and the definition of test parameters, as well as for your individual questions. We support you in the evaluation and assessment of the test results or in the creation of complete test plans for climate testing.

Do you need further climate tests for your products?

Together with our long-standing cooperation partners, we offer further climate tests, e.g. for corrosion, ingress protection (IP), harmful gases, etc.. We plan and coordinate the different tests. Your advantage: You only have one contact partner!
